From quote to launch — who does what, how long it takes, and what stays yours if we ever part ways.
// process
We write down exactly what you get and what it costs — and that is the price. Anything beyond it only with an estimate up front and your approval. The binding deadline is part of the quote, so you know it before you pay anything.
You send text, a logo and photographs — all at once, before we start. The text does not have to be polished: proofreading what you supply is included in the STANDARD and PROFI tiers. What is missing we can produce — photography and copywriting are extras, priced up front.
You watch the site on a test address while it is still being built. Feedback comes in rounds — two on START, three on STANDARD, four on PROFI. A round is one consolidated list of changes, not a chain of e-mails; further rounds can be bought.
We move the site to your domain and you get a visual audit — a set of screenshots showing how it looks across devices. Payment is in two parts: half on order, half at launch.
A simple site is usually finished within two weeks of receiving complete materials. For larger company sites it depends on scope, and the binding deadline is always confirmed in the quote.
// from you
Less than you expect. The heaviest item is the time to read the text through once — the rest happens without you.
It does not have to be finished or elegant. What you want to say about yourselves is enough; the shape is our job.
Ideally as a vector (SVG). If you do not have one, or only in a form nobody can use, we will work out what to do.
Your own — from the workshop, from finished jobs. If there are too few or they are too small we can shoot more; that is an extra, priced up front.
Walk through the site on the test address and write down what to change. In one go rather than in pieces — it saves both sides time.
If you received a demo from us built out of your existing site, this part is nearly done already: we have the content.
// colour
If you already have an idea of the colours for your site, so much the better. If not, we have 18 ready-made colour schemes that meet the right contrast ratio — you pick one and that part is done.
Colours can be changed later at any point.
// what is yours
A site you cannot reach without your supplier is not your site. So we say it plainly, and it is written into our terms as well.
Registered to you. We can administer it technically, but you are the owner — and you stay the owner afterwards.
Text, photographs, structure. We claim none of it, and when the service ends we hand over the current site and its content.
These are static files: upload them to any hosting and they work. No CMS, no database, no dependency on our server.
Either side can terminate the service in writing with one month notice to the end of the calendar month. No penalty, no lock-in period.
The source project and the build system we assemble sites with — that is developed continuously across every site and is not part of the job. And when the service ends the form stops sending, because our service handles that; the rest of the site keeps working. Better said now than later.
// questions
The site has no admin area to log into — deliberately: that is what attackers go for first and what eventually breaks on its own. So we make the small changes for you. The monthly fee includes 30 minutes of work a month and we usually respond within 24 hours. Larger changes are quoted up front.
Briefly: fewer moving parts to break or to be attacked. A static site has no database and no plugins, so there is nothing to steal and nothing to update weekly. The longer answer, with a comparison, is on the Approach page.
You know the price and the scope in advance, and you see the site on a test address before anyone else does — so dissatisfaction surfaces while something can still be done about it. The ongoing service can be terminated at any time with one month notice, without penalty, and you take the site with you.
The domain is yours and the site is static files that will run on any hosting. While the service runs we also keep the individual released versions, so there is something to start from. You do not need us for the site to keep working — that is the point of it.
